Rattan is a type of climbing or trailing vine-like palm found in tropical regions like Indonesia and the Philippines.  Used to make furniture and accessories because of its lightweight, durable and impervious characteristic. It can withstand extreme conditions of humidity and temperature and has a natural resistance to insects.

To care for your rattan, wipe with dry cloth daily or with mild soap for a longer lifespan.  Once it loses it shine, apply mild furniture oil.
